Job Description Summary
Every product GE Vernova builds starts with a precise design. As a PDE Accessories and Instrumentation Engineer, you turn engineering concepts into the 2D drawings and 3D models that analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection teams use every day. You will also help improve existing products and components, and your ideas will have room to shape how they are built.
Job Description
What You'll Do
- Create 2D cross sections and 3D models of parts, modules, and assemblies.
- Prepare tolerance stack-ups and electronic data files that support analysis, manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection.
- Recommend technical improvements to existing products and components.
- Check the quality of your own work and help raise the quality of your team's work.
- Solve technical issues using your judgment and established procedures, and bring in senior colleagues when a question falls outside them.
- Work with teams across the business, explain technical information clearly, and guide junior teammates as your experience grows.
Who We're Looking For
You are an engineer who enjoys turning ideas into accurate designs and wants to deepen your technical expertise in a collaborative team.
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Some experience in engineering or product definition
- Experience creating 2D drawings and 3D models in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. High skills in NX.
- Working knowledge of tolerance stack-ups
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
- Experience planning and documenting your own work
- Experience guiding or mentoring junior team members
- Familiarity with manufacturing, assembly, or inspection requirements
