About the role
Arbetsbeskrivning
Do you have a strong background in heavy commercial vehicles, spare parts or technical aftermarket operations? Are you interested in developing your career within product management while working in an international organization?
This could be an opportunity to take the next step.
MEKO is looking for a Product Manager to support the continued expansion of its Commercial Vehicle Division under its FTZ brand in Denmark.
You will contribute to the development of product groups within trucks, trailers and buses, combining your technical industry knowledge with practical product management and commercial coordination.
We welcome candidates from both Denmark and Southern Sweden. Previous experience as a Product Manager is valuable but not essential. What matters most is your understanding of commercial vehicles and the motivation to develop within a growing business.
Your responsibilities
As Product Manager, you will be part of MEKO's Commercial Vehicle Division and work closely with the Danish FTZ Truck & Trailer organization.
You will support the development of several product groups within Heavy Commercial Vehicles, helping ensure the right assortment, pricing and product information are available to meet customer needs and commercial objectives.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Identifying and supporting new product launches and assortment development initiatives.
• Preparing sourcing requirements and request-for-quotation material, as well as evaluating products together with colleagues in other MEKO markets.
• Coordinating product introductions, replacements and phase-outs.
• Managing product data and maintaining information in catalogues and PIM systems.
• Monitoring competitor offerings and contributing to pricing and assortment decisions.
• Following up on product performance, price levels, returns, obsolescence and opportunities for assortment improvements.
• Providing technical product knowledge and supporting the sales organization in product-related matters.
• Working with suppliers, category management, logistics and other internal stakeholders to maintain a competitive product offering.
The position combines day-to-day operational responsibilities with opportunities to participate in broader commercial and category management activities.
You will work closely with the local Head of Commercial Vehicles in Denmark and colleagues within the wider MEKO CV organization. Strategic category direction and additional support are provided by the responsible Group Category Manager.
This is an individual contributor role without personnel responsibility.
Din Profil
Your profile
We are primarily looking for someone who understands the technical and practical side of the heavy commercial vehicle industry.
You might currently be working as a Spare Parts Specialist, Parts Manager, Technical Sales Representative, Product Specialist, Workshop Coordinator or Product Manager. Your current title is less important than your experience and knowledge.
A background from truck and trailer workshops, spare parts distribution, fleet maintenance, agricultural machinery, construction equipment or other heavy-duty applications may be relevant.
We believe you bring:
• Strong knowledge of commercial vehicles, components, spare parts and their applications.
• Relevant experience from heavy commercial vehicles (truck, trailer, bus) or comparable heavy-duty applications – e.g. from workshop, spare parts, technical sales or product work.
• Good computer skills and the ability to work in a structured way with product information.
• An interest in developing analytical, commercial and product management skills.
• Initiative, curiosity and the ability to work independently while collaborating with others.
• Good communication skills and fluency in English, both written and spoken.
It is advantageous if you also have:
• Previous experience in product management, assortment development or technical purchasing.
• Experience with Excel, ERP or PIM systems.
• Experience analyzing product information, sales data or market developments.
• Danish language skills or knowledge of other Nordic languages.
• A post-secondary technical education.
Your understanding of trucks, trailers and heavy-duty components, combined with your motivation and willingness to learn, will be central to your success.
