Python Software Engineer - Infrastructure & Platform

The role

Our Site Reliability Engineering team builds and maintains the core software, automation, and platform services that power engineering across Everpure. We approach reliability as a software problem: building developer tooling, automating complex operational workflows in Python, designing observable systems, and ensuring our internal platform scales seamlessly.

As a Python Software Engineer in Prague with a passion for infrastructure, you will write the software and tooling that keep our platform services reliable, scalable, and developer-friendly. You will collaborate closely with product engineering teams and platform developers across our global sites to automate infrastructure management and build self-healing systems.

What you'll do

Python Tooling & Infrastructure Automation:  Treat operations and infrastructure as software engineering problems. Design, build, and maintain Python-based automation, developer CLI tools, self-healing systems, and custom services that simplify deployment, monitoring, and platform operations.

Observability:  Help build and operate a consistent pipeline for metrics, logs and alerts across our data centres and public cloud. Improve detection speed and alert quality so that engineers are paged only when action is needed and have the context they need when they are.

Incident management:  Take part in the on-call rotation for the services you own, respond to and coordinate incidents, and run blameless postmortems. Turn what incidents reveal into durable fixes, runbooks and automation, and help keep on-call sustainable for the team.

Shared platform services: Operate the messaging, caching, database and continuous-integration services the platform depends on. Contribute to making them highly available: redundancy, capacity planning, upgrades and tested recovery procedures.

Automation:  Treat operations as an engineering problem. Build the tooling that removes repetitive work, from deployment and configuration automation to health checks and self-healing, and contribute to our work applying AI to incident triage and remediation.

Production readiness:  Take part in design and production-readiness reviews, capacity planning and launch support for new services, and help product teams adopt reliability practices so that fewer problems reach production.

We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Everpure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.

What you bring

- Software engineering proficiency in Python, with experience building developer tools, backend services, or infrastructure automation.

- Hands-on experience operating distributed systems on Linux and Kubernetes using infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines.

- Strong troubleshooting skills across full-stack components, including networking, HTTP, containers, and storage.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills in English, with a strong emphasis on documentation and cross-team collaboration.

Our platform runs on Kubernetes across our own data centres and public cloud, and most of our tooling is written in Python and Go.
