Basic Job Functions:
The role of the Maintenance HVAC includes, but is not limited to, day-to-day HVAC systems maintenance, supporting production and other maintenance crews, improving, or developing predictive and preventive maintenance processes, maintain, and eliminating downtime and waste. Work includes troubleshooting and repairing HVAC, ensuring compliance with applicable environmental regulations, rigging, fabricating, operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, cranes, manlifts, and scissor lifts. Additionally, the Maintenance HVAC will also be tasked to troubleshoot and repair mechanical plant equipment. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, weekends, nights and holidays as scheduled. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 year of HVAC Experience
- EPA 608 certification and or NATE certification
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Roll Mill/Melt Shop maintenance
- Overhead crane knowledge and repair experience
- Basic pneumatic and hydraulic system knowledge
- Knowledge of record keeping as it pertains to refrigerant
- Knowledge of chiller systems
Must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
