Summary
This position supports Mercy's philosophy of patient centered care by providing accurate financial data and information to managers/administration which allows them to make decisions that directly impact the patient.
Job Description
Job Duties
- Assists in fiscal year budget development for MPS, MPA, and MCMI.
- Provides ongoing financial reporting for clinic departments.
- Provides in-depth quantitative and descriptive analyses of healthcare data.
- Handles month end accounting and reconciliation tasks as assigned.
- Develops financial presentations for executives and physicians.
- Follows Mercy's safety guidelines, carries out job-specific safety duties and responsibilities, and promptly reports any unsafe conditions, situations, incidents and injuries.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to operate a personal computer and utilize various software packages.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- PowerPoint skills preferred.
Professional Experience
- 3 years of experience in audit, accounting, and/or budget/forecasting preferred.
- Experience in a healthcare environment preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Licensure, Certification, Registration
- Certification by the State Board of Certified Public Accountants preferred.
Physical Requirements
Sedentary: Exert up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a minute amount frequently
