At Aurecon, we are engineering optimists who see the world differently. We ask what’s possible and turn ideas into impact. Here, you’ll bring your expertise to challenges that matter, alongside people who think boldly and are determined to make a difference.
What you’ll do
As a Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer in our Mining & Resources team based in Brisbane , you’ll take on instrumentation and control engineering across a major APLNG gas infrastructure portfolio , helping shape solutions for our clients and communities.
You’ll work across disciplines, test ideas and find better ways to solve complex engineering challenges. You will:
- Advise clients and internal stakeholders on instrumentation and control engineering across the APLNG portfolio , from concept development through to detailed design and delivery.
- Deliver and review key I&C designs and documentation, including control philosophies, functional descriptions, instrument specifications, I/O lists and cause-and-effect documentation.
- Provide practical technical advice across instrumentation, control systems, automation, communications and system integration, particularly for operating assets and brownfield environments.
- Work with electrical, process, mechanical and other engineering disciplines to solve complex technical challenges and deliver integrated project solutions.
- Mentor emerging engineers, contribute to best-practice I&C standards and help drive continuous improvement across project delivery.
What you’ll bring
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation or Control Engineering, with RPEQ registration in a relevant discipline.
- Strong experience delivering instrumentation and control engineering across oil and gas, resources, energy or heavy industrial projects.
- Technical expertise across field instrumentation, control systems, automation, communications and system integration, including brownfield environments.
- Experience in hazardous areas and functional safety, with relevant certification; experience with Australian Coal Seam Gas operations will be highly regarded.
- Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions, solve complex problems and mentor emerging engineers.
