About the role

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager - Digital Asset Management based in Canada.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the strategy and development of Digital Asset Management (DAM) capabilities within an enterprise SaaS platform serving the life sciences industry. In this role, you will shape how organizations manage, discover, reuse, and distribute approved digital content across their marketing and commercial operations. You will own the product vision and roadmap, identifying opportunities to improve asset workflows through automation, AI-powered capabilities, and intuitive user experiences. Working closely with Engineering, UX, QA, and customers, you will translate complex business needs into scalable product solutions. You will also drive measurable improvements in content efficiency, governance, and multichannel distribution while ensuring compliance with strict regulatory requirements. This is an opportunity to influence the evolution of enterprise content management in a mission-driven, remote-first environment.

Accountabilities

You will take ownership of the DAM product strategy and lifecycle, collaborating with customers and internal teams to deliver innovative solutions that improve digital content operations. Your responsibilities will include:

-
Product Strategy & AI: Define and own the product vision, strategy, and multi-release roadmap for Digital Asset Management, identifying opportunities to integrate AI capabilities such as automated tagging, semantic search, and generative content variations.

-
Customer Discovery: Engage with brand, marketing operations, creative, agency, medical, and regulatory teams to understand their workflows and translate customer insights into prioritized product requirements.

-
Performance Measurement: Establish and monitor key performance indicators, including asset reuse rates, time required to find and publish approved content, metadata completeness, and feature adoption.

-
Feature Definition & Delivery: Develop clear product specifications and collaborate with Engineering, UX, and QA throughout the design, development, testing, and release process.

-
Asset Lifecycle Automation: Build capabilities that streamline asset ingestion, metadata extraction, rendition and format management, rights tracking, expiration monitoring, and approved content distribution.

-
Content Governance: Ensure DAM solutions maintain the traceability, auditability, permissions, and compliance standards required by highly regulated industries.

-
Cross-Product Collaboration: Work with other product teams to create connected experiences across enterprise content and promotional review workflows.

-
Go-to-Market Enablement: Support Sales, Services, and Support teams with product positioning, demonstrations, documentation, and release-related resources.

-
Continuous Improvement: Balance customer needs, market developments, technical constraints, and business priorities to guide ongoing product investments.

Requirements

The ideal candidate combines strong enterprise product management experience with specialized knowledge of digital asset management, marketing technology, and complex content workflows. You should bring:

-
At least 5 years of experience in enterprise software product management, engineering, or consulting.

-
At least 2 years of hands-on experience focused on Digital Asset Management (DAM), content management, or creative production platforms.

-
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of DAM architecture, including metadata models, taxonomies, asset ingestion, rendition and transcoding, APIs, integrations, and AI/ML applications such as automated tagging, semantic search, and Generative AI.

-
Architectural Expertise: Familiarity with content and asset architecture, including storage and delivery, version control, permissions, rights management, and integrations with content management and distribution platforms.

-
Communication Skills: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders across Marketing, Creative, Legal, Medical, and Regulatory teams.

-
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrated experience partnering with UX and Engineering teams to develop intuitive products for complex business workflows.

-
Marketing Expertise: Experience in Marketing, Marketing Operations, or developing products for marketing teams, with an understanding of brand strategy, campaign planning, and content production.

-
Marketing Process Knowledge: Familiarity with creative and campaign briefs, agency and studio workflows, brand guidelines, content governance, modular content, content supply chains, omnichannel distribution, and launch readiness.
