About the Role
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting industrial refrigeration systems across customer sites throughout Townsville and the wider North Queensland region .
This hands-on role is ideal for a self-motivated technician who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working independently, and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preventative maintenance and breakdown service work on industrial refrigeration systems
- Diagnose and rectify equipment faults to minimise downtime for customers
- Complete service reports and associated documentation accurately and on time
- Build strong customer relationships and provide technical support when required
- Participate in ongoing technical training and development programs
- Contribute to a positive, safety-first culture
What You'll Bring
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Refrigeration Mechanic or relevant trade qualification
- Current ARCtick Refrigerant Handling Licence
- Restricted Electrical Licence
- Experience working on industrial refrigeration systems
- Ammonia refrigeration experience
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety

- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
