SME Revenue Accounting Operations

What You’ll Do

- Own the month-end close process for revenue operations, including review and approval of revenue-related reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.

- Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations for revenue-related accounts, including accounts receivable, deferred revenue, accrued revenue, contract assets, and other related balances.

- Ensure revenue accruals are complete and accurate, including validation of timely and appropriate reversal upon invoicing or settlement, with variances investigated and resolved.

- Perform periodic flux and trend analysis, identifying and explaining significant movements in revenue and related balance sheet accounts.

- Maintain contract terms in the revenue management tool to enable accurate revenue recognition, billing triggers, and downstream accounting.

- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to streamline revenue accounting operations, strengthen controls, and reduce manual effort.

- Partner with cross functional teams to ensure alignment across revenue operations and financial reporting.

- Implement and maintain documented processes, policies, and controls in compliance with SOX requirements and internal control standards.

- Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors on all revenue-related matters, providing comprehensive documentation, schedules, and explanations

- Support ad hoc reporting, root-cause analysis, and special projects related to revenue operations.

What We're Looking For

- Master’s degree, CA/CPA in accounting or finance (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in revenue accounting or operational accounting.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

- Strong sense of ownership and independence, with proven ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive initiatives to completion with minimal supervision

- Experience in travel, technology, SaaS, or multinational public company environment is a plus.

- Proficiency with systems such as NetSuite, Zuora, Blackline is an asset.
