- Execute daily merchandising, product attribute updates, and site maintenance alongside the team, maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Improve category shopping experiences through navigation, filters, on-site search, product ranking, project shopping journeys, and storytelling placement.
- Guide product template and image strategies, establishing clear requirements with Site Operations, Creative, and PIP Creative.
- Oversee launch and seasonal merchandising readiness, confirming product placement, attributes, imagery requirements, and merchandising QA while resolving dependencies to meet deadlines.
- Lead assigned cross-category initiatives and optimization tests, defining requirements, success measures, and rollout plans with Analytics, Site Operations, and Technology.
- Align plans and resolve competing priorities with Product Merchandising, Inventory, Marketing, Creative, and Site Operations.
- Balance workload and resources across categories; partner with fellow Web Merchandising leaders to strengthen shared standards, workflows, and site consistency.
- Manage and develop Associates, Assistants, and Managers as applicable, building independent judgment, analytical skills, accountability, and execution quality.
Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree in merchandising, marketing, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in eCommerce, digital merchandising, site merchandising, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of people management experience, with demonstrated success developing team members and leading work across multiple categories.
- Experience setting merchandising strategy across categories and delivering complex site initiatives through cross-functional teams.
- Strong commercial and analytical judgment, with the ability to connect site decisions to sales, conversion, AOV, sell-through, and inventory productivity.
- Deep understanding of category shopping journeys, product discoverability, digital storytelling, and site optimization.
- Ability to make decisions with limited direction, influence senior partners, and balance strategic leadership with daily execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Adobe Analytics or similar platforms and workflow tools such as Airtable or Jira preferred.
