About the role

At Gore Mutual, we’ve always set ourselves apart as a modern mutual that does good. Now, we’re proudly building on that legacy to transform our company—and our industry—for the better.

Effective January 1, 2026, Gore has joined Beneva—the country’s largest mutual insurance company—as part of its Property & Casualty operations in Ontario and Western Canada. During 2026, Gore will combine its operations with Unica Insurance, Beneva’s Ontario-based subsidiary specializing in niche commercial and personal insurance, creating a stronger, more diversified mutual insurer with greater scale and long-term stability.

Every decision and investment remains anchored in long-term benefits to customers, members, and communities. Come join us.

The Senior Specialist, Marketing Integration, Content & Brand is a maternity leave cover that plays a critical role in supporting Gore Mutual’s transition to the Beneva brand over a defined 18-month integration period. This role is responsible for working closely with the Brand integration leader in planning and executing marketing, brand, and all communications and brand activation activities that support onboarding, launch, broker engagement, and digital brand transition milestones.

Operating at the intersection of marketing execution, brand stewardship, change management communications, and strategic communications planning, this role ensures complex organizational change is translated into clear, sequenced, and audience-appropriate marketing actions. Working closely with Marketing & Communications leadership, Business Leads, the Integration Management Office (IMO), internal stakeholders, and external agencies, the role supports broker, customer, and employee understanding while maintaining brand continuity and trust during the transition.

This position is best suited to a marketing and brand generalist with experience supporting mergers, integrations, rebrands, or enterprise transformations, who can manage multiple workstreams, operate effectively in ambiguity, and deliver disciplined execution across channels. They will play a critical role in shaping and maintaining a positive brand image, ensuring consistent messaging, and driving engagement through effective content strategies. They will contribute to the overall success and growth of the organization by building a strong and resonant brand presence in the Ontario and West market.

- Lead business and brand transition initiatives, translating project objectives into clear requirements, deliverables, and execution plans.

- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver projects, marketing assets, and communications on time and within scope.

- Prepare project updates, leadership presentations, and governance reporting to communicate progress and key decisions.

- Support launch planning, testing, go-live activities, and post-implementation stakeholder support.

- Develop and execute customer, broker, and employee communications that support onboarding and brand transition milestones.

- Coordinate digital brand transition activities across websites, social media, and other customer-facing channels.

- Execute integrated marketing and communications plans that strengthen brand awareness and support enterprise priorities.

Requirements:

- Undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or professional certification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.

- Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing and communications roles, including internal communications, external communications, B2B marketing, and brand management.

- Minimum 3 years of experience developing and executing content strategies, marketing campaigns, and brand initiatives.

- Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale transformation, integration, or change-related initiatives.

- Strong understanding of change management principles and strategic communications planning.

- Broad marketing and brand management expertise, with the ability to develop integrated communications and marketing plans.

- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment, with strong project and program management skills.

- Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and external agencies.

- Knowledge of the insurance industry and broker distribution channels is considered a strong asset.

- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication skills with strong attention to detail.

- Demonstrated sound judgment, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in ambiguous and evolving environments.

- Highly organized with strong execution skills and a track record of delivering high-quality work on time.

- Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset.

- Experience supporting brand transitions, mergers, acquisitions, or enterprise integration initiatives.

- Experience developing content and communications across digital channels, including websites, social media, email, and marketing campaigns.
