Staff Accountant

As a Staff Accountant, you’ll keep payment activity accurate, transparent, and well documented. You’ll monitor payments, reconcile transactions, investigate payment-related inquiries, and prepare financial reports, including Balance Activity Reports, so internal teams and stakeholders can rely on the numbers. As CreatorIQ builds a shared services organization to support its global operations, this new role helps lay the foundation for dependable accounting records.

In this role, you’ll get to:

- Monitor payment activity to make sure payments are processed, tracked, and recorded accurately.

- Reconcile transactions and account balances, resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Investigate payment-related inquiries by reviewing transaction histories and verifying fund allocations and utilization.

- Provide clear, accurate financial information to internal teams and stakeholders to resolve payment and account questions.

- Prepare and extract financial reports, including Balance Activity Reports, to support account reconciliation and financial transparency.

- Manage account activity by reviewing, verifying, and documenting deposits, disbursements, and balance changes.

- Maintain thorough documentation of payment activities and supporting records to ensure a reliable audit trail.

- Partner with Finance, Support, and Operations to address financial concerns and keep accounting records reliable.

- Protect the confidentiality of company and financial information, and support additional projects as needed.

Who you are and what you’ll need for this position:

- Upper-Intermediate English (written and spoken)

- 2+ years of experience in accounting

- Experience with payment reconciliation, transaction research, and financial reporting

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies

- Proficiency in Excel or other spreadsheet tools

- Self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and embraces a “no job too small” startup mentality

- High EQ, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to not take yourself too seriously and have fun

- AI Capable: Uses approved AI tools independently to improve work quality and efficiency, including drafting, summarizing, researching, analyzing, and reviewing outputs for accuracy.

Nice to have:

- Experience working in a shared services environment or supporting a multinational company.
