We are looking for a System Developer, Pigment (Financial Planning System) to join the Finance organization as an internal technical resource. Finance at Xometry focuses on optimizing its planning and reporting tools so that the finance technology stack scales with the company’s growth. In this role, you will work closely with FP&A, Accounting, and the Finance Systems and Engineering/data teams, who already translate finance requirements into specifications that engineers can build from. Your work will support how Xometry plans, forecasts, and reports on a global basis.
How You'll Contribute:
- Build and maintain Pigment: Develop and optimize blocks, formulas, and applications, and maintain the model architecture, including dimensions, metrics, tables, and access rules.
- Manage master data: Own master data governance in Pigment, including dimensions, hierarchies, mappings, and updates for organizational changes.
- Maintain system structure: Manage versions, scenarios, security and roles, calendars, and period roll-forwards. Keep the model performant and scalable.
- Develop new features: Gather requirements from FP&A and business users, then design, build, test, and release enhancements, new modules, and dashboards.
- Manage integrations: Support data loads and automated pipelines between Pigment and the ERP, data warehouse, HRIS, and other source systems.
- Ensure data quality: Run reconciliations, validations, and controls so that planning and reporting numbers are accurate and trusted.
- Support users: Provide training, documentation, troubleshooting, and release notes.
- Improve continuously: Automate manual processes and recommend best practices for the planning stack.
What You'll Bring to Xometry:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience building in Pigment or a comparable planning platform (Anaplan, Adaptive, IBM TM1, Oracle Essbase or similar), with demonstrated Pigment formula and modeling skills
- Strong understanding of FP&A processes, including budgeting, forecasting, headcount planning, and reporting
- Experience with master data management and model governance
- Strong analytical, documentation, and testing discipline
- Ability to translate business needs into technical designs and to communicate with both finance and technical audiences
Nice To Have:
- Pigment certification or experience leading a Pigment implementation
- SQL or Python experience, and familiarity with APIs and data integration tools
- Experience with ERP, data warehouse, and BI platforms such as NetSuite, Snowflake, or Power BI
- Experience in a public, high-growth, marketplace, or technology company
- Familiarity with SOX and IT general controls
- Experience with Agile or product-style delivery
