About the Position
We have an excellent opportunity available for a Tax Specialist to make a difference at Kraft Heinz Turkey. The Tax Specialist lies within the Controlling team and is based in our Istanbul (Akmerkez) Office. You’ll be working in a high-performing team, alongside peers always trying to reach the next level. You’ll be reporting into Tax Associate Manager.

In brief, you will be responsible for:

- Support tax compliance obligations and follow up on tax compliance responsibilities

- Prepare and support CIT, VAT, WHT and stamp duty declarations and filings in coordination with finance teams and tax advisors

- Follow changes in local and international tax legislation and assess their potential impact on the business

- Identify tax risks or uncertain issues and support the development of possible resolutions in coordination with local Finance teams and other relevant teams

- Support and coordinate tax audits, including external and internal audits

- Contribute to the improvement of tax compliance procedures and processes to mitigate tax risks and improve efficiency

- Collaborate with the finance team on workflow and tax queries and participate in the monthly closing process, including supporting quarterly and year-end tax provision activities

- Provide day-to-day tax support to business functions to help ensure compliance with local tax requirements

- Prepare and submit e-ledger filings

- Support and follow up the VAT refund process

- Follow up the Investment Incentive Certificate process

- Support the preparation of the Transfer Pricing Report in coordination with local/global tax advisors

What you bring:

- 2+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably including tax audit experience in a Big4 or reputable accounting/audit company

- Bachelor’s degree or above in Economics / Finance / Business with a focus on Accounting/Tax

- Good knowledge of Turkish accounting, tax legislation and practices

- Advanced English skills

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications

- Professional qualifications such as CPA, ACCA or other industry-recognized qualifications are a plus

- Experience in the food manufacturing and/or agro-trading industry is preferred

- SAP knowledge is preferred

- US GAAP knowledge is preferred
