As a Warehouse Operative based in Darlington , you’ll be responsible for:
- Ensuring that all incoming deliveries comply with the delivery paperwork and handle any discrepancies appropriately and put away in a timely manner
- Pick items to fulfil customer orders and prepare for despatch as per customer requirements
- Liaise with drivers to load vehicle effectively and in accordance with run sheet
- Check picked orders prior to collection or dispatch
- Driving a Forklift Truck
- Comply with Company and Depot policies, particularly Health and Safety to ensure a safe working environment
- Maintain good housekeeping practices
This is a full-time, permanent role working 37.50 hours per week Monday to Friday 08.00am - 4.00pm.
And here’s what we’d like you to have:
- Prior warehouse experience
- Forklift Truck experience is ideal
- The ability to work quickly and accurately to meet deadlines
- To be a team player who is happy to take on a diverse role to carry out all jobs required to ensure the warehouse runs smoothly
- Keenness to learn, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude and a strong work ethic
