Yard Control Security Officer
Schedule: Tuesday to Friday 8am-4pm
Monday to Friday 8am-4pm
Payrate: $17.00
Job Duties:
- Communicate professionally with employees, customers, vendors and visitors
- Patrol premises on foot and/or in Securitas Vehicle regularly to maintain order and establish presence.
- Assist with enforcing company policies and Site-specific security procedures
- Monitor facility entrances, exits, perimeter and designated Security areas.
- Respond to alarms by investigating and assessing the situation
- Submit reports of daily surveillance activity and important occurrences
- Responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior, preventing vandalism, or other criminal behavior.
Requirements:
- Must possess of a Valid Driver’s License with a clean MVR
- Valid SORA license or willing to obtain
- Required to work effectively under variable weather conditions
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy at all times
- Must be able to remain calm, focused, and productive in fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly in person, by phone and/or radio
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong customer service, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Must be reliable, self-motivated, and flexible
- Expected to work Weekends and Holidays
- Fluent in English language (reading, writing and speaking)
