Data Innovation Engineer

In the role of Data Innovation Engineer, you will put data and AI to work in business processes, applications and decisions - creating solutions that deliver tangible value for GN. You will work with colleagues across the business to understand their needs, shape solutions and bring them to life, while helping raise the bar for how we deliver high-quality data and AI solutions.

This is a hands-on, technical and business-facing role where you will work with data and explore how AI can be used both as a tool in your work and as part of the solutions you build. You will be part of an ambitious data and AI agenda and play an active role in bringing it to life.

The Team you will be part of:
You will join the AI Data Strategy & Innovation team within Data, Intelligence & Integration, part of AI, IT & Digital (AID) at GN.

We work closely with stakeholders across GN to explore opportunities and turn them into concrete outcomes. Our team culture encourages curiosity, collaboration and hands-on experimentation, and we aspire to make data and AI useful in real business contexts.

Your contribution is appreciated, and you will:

- Work with business stakeholders to understand their needs and explore opportunities where data and AI can make a difference

- Explore emerging data and AI technologies through experiments and pilots, and help bring promising solutions into production

- Take technical ownership of your work from early exploration through delivery, making design decisions in collaboration with relevant teams along the way

- Build data pipelines, integrations, data products and other data solutions in collaboration with technical teams and business stakeholders

- Establish relationships with business and technical stakeholders, keeping delivery aligned with the intended business value

To perform well in the role, we imagine that you:

- Are an experienced data practitioner with a solid background in delivering data solutions in a business context

- Have hands-on experience building data pipelines and working with modern data platforms and cloud environments. Experience with Azure and Microsoft’s data technologies is a plus

- Are comfortable gathering requirements and collaborating with both business stakeholders and technical teams

- Have experience from embedding AI in your work, and are curious about how AI and emerging technologies can improve your work further

- Can work independently, turning loosely defined challenges into practical and scoped solutions

- Communicate fluently in English, both written and spoken, and can explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
