Volunteer - Front Desk Assistant
Make a Difference While Staying Connected
Are you retired or looking for a meaningful way to spend a few hours each week? Otterbein SeniorLife Marblehead is seeking friendly and dependable volunteers to assist at our front desk. This is a wonderful opportunity to stay active, meet new people, and support our residents, families, visitors, and staff in a welcoming senior living community.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
- Greet residents, visitors, family members, and vendors
- Collect, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages
- Assist with light administrative tasks such as filing, copying, and organizing paperwork
- Help maintain the reception area and ensure a welcoming environment
- Provide general information and assistance to visitors
- Support various departments with occasional clerical projects
Qualifications:
- Friendly, positive, and professional demeanor
- Comfortable answering phones and interacting with the public
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Basic organizational skills
- Reliable and dependable attendance
