College of Nursing and Health Care Professions
Health Care Accounting and Billing : This course introduces learners to the fundamental principles of finance, accounting, and budgeting within the context of the health care industry. Learners examine the various business units, roles, and structures involved in health care planning, budgeting, and accounting. Financial measurements and data analytics for managing costs and productivity are also explored.

Location:
GCU Main Campus – Phoenix, AZ
· In-person, on-campus instruction
· Term: Spring 2027 – January 4th – April 23rd
· Time: Wednesday/Friday 9am-10:45am
What You Will Do
- Facilitate classroom instruction and discussions
- Engage students in achieving course learning outcomes
- Assess student performance and provide feedback
- Incorporate current industry knowledge and best practices into teaching
- Support the mission and values of Grand Canyon University
What You Will Bring
Minimum Qualifications:
· Masters in Health Care Administration (MHCA) or
· Masters in Health Administration (MHA) or
· Masters in Public Administration (MPA) or
· Masters in Business Administration (MBA) or
· Masters in Nursing (MSN)
· AND 5 years work experience in health care management or health care accounting and billing or health care administration in a hospital or acute care or managed care or ambulatory care physician group or long-term care setting
