Injection Molding Process Technican - 5K Sign On Bonus, 2nd & 3rd Shifts

Join Our Team as an Injection Molding Process Technician at Johnson Electric!
Location: Springfield, TN (onsite)
Supplemental Pay: $5,000 sign-on bonus and shift differential pay
Schedule: 2nd and 3rd shifts available

As our next Injection Molding Process Technician, you’ll support injection molding operations in our Springfield manufacturing facility by setting up and monitoring equipment, troubleshooting molding and process issues, making process adjustments, and helping ensure safe, efficient production of high-quality components.

Sign-On Bonus: Eligible candidates will receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments. The first 50% will be paid within the first 30 days of employment, with the remaining 50% paid during the seventh month of employment, subject to continued employment in good standing.

What You’ll Be Doing:

- Set up, monitor, and adjust injection molding equipment and processes, including mold setups and changeovers.

- Troubleshoot molding, equipment, and process-related issues to support efficient production.

- Monitor machine parameters and adjust process settings to maintain product quality and production efficiency.

- Work with Engineering and Quality to meet specifications and customer requirements while maintaining process settings and documentation.

- Support continuous improvement efforts to reduce scrap and improve cycle times while following safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

- 1+ year of experience working with injection molding processing equipment.

- 2–3 years of injection molding setup experience.

- Knowledge of injection molding equipment, tooling, and plastic materials, with hands-on troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to read technical drawings, specifications, and process documentation, with strong communication and teamwork skills.

- Ability to work onsite in Springfield, TN on 2nd or 3rd shift and occasional overtime as business needs require.

Bonus Points If You Have:

- Automotive injection molding experience.

- Knowledge of scientific molding techniques.

- Continuous improvement experience.

- New product launch or process validation experience.

- Familiarity with IATF 16949 automotive quality requirements.
