Injection Molding Technician - 5K Sign on Bonus - 2nd & 3rd Shifts Available

Join Our Team as an Injection Molding Process Technician at Johnson Electric!
Location: Springfield, TN (onsite)
Supplemental Pay: $5,000 sign-on bonus and shift differential pay
Schedule: 2nd and 3rd shifts available

As our next Injection Molding Process Technician, you will play a key role in developing, optimizing, and sustaining injection molding processes that support the production of high-quality automotive components. Your expertise in injection molding technology, process optimization, troubleshooting, and manufacturing excellence will be critical to ensuring product quality, maximizing production efficiency, and driving continuous improvement across our operations.

Sign-On Bonus: Eligible candidates will receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus paid in two installments. The first 50% will be paid within the first 30 days of employment, and the remaining 50% will be paid during the seventh month of employment, subject to continued employment in good standing.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Develop, establish, and optimize injection molding processes for automotive components.
• Monitor and adjust machine parameters to maintain product quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Quality teams to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements while maintaining required process documentation and parameter settings.
• Train operators and technicians on molding processes and best practices while supporting continuous improvement efforts focused on reducing scrap, improving cycle times, and maintaining safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in injection molding processes.
• Strong knowledge of injection molding equipment, tooling, and plastic materials.
• Experience in process troubleshooting, optimization, and problem-solving.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, process documentation, and specifications.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the flexibility to work occasional overtime as needed.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience in automotive injection molding operations.
• Experience with continuous improvement projects.
• Knowledge of scientific molding techniques.
• Experience supporting new product launches and process validations.
• Familiarity with IATF 16949 and automotive quality requirements.
