About the role

​Responsibilities:

- Design and implement high-quality backend services using Java and Spring Boot.​

- Build cloud-native applications on SAP BTP, ideally using the SAP Cloud Application Programming Model (CAP).​

- Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code with a strong focus on long-term maintainability and software quality.​

- Develop and maintain automated tests using JUnit to ensure reliable and robust services.​

- Take ownership of the quality of your code, including test coverage, readability, and maintainability.​

- Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving engineering standards within the team.​

- Contribute to the architecture and design of modern backend systems.​

- Work in a Git-based development workflow with collaborative development practices.​

- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated quality checks to ensure reliable software delivery.​

Profile:

- Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.​

- Strong experience in Java backend development with Spring Boot.​

- Solid experience with automated testing using JUnit.​

- Strong understanding of software quality, clean code, and maintainable architecture.​

- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows (e.g., pull requests and code reviews).​

- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and backend services.​

- Experience with cloud-native application development.​

- Experience with SAP CAP and SAP BTP is a strong plus but not required.​

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated quality checks.​

- Ability to write well-tested, reliable, and maintainable software.​
