Your Role and Impact
As the Operating Reactors Leader, you will drive Flowserve’s enterprise-wide strategy to maximize aftermarket business for operating nuclear power plants undergoing life extension, uprates, and refurbishments. Operating primarily at the global and utility-fleet level, you will develop comprehensive aftermarket service strategies while building critical relationships with corporate utility leaders to connect procurement decisions with site-level execution. By partnering with End User Sales and representing Flowserve across major nuclear industry organizations, you will directly impact our strategic growth and ensure a repeatable, standardized approach to aftermarket pursuits.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide aftermarket service strategy for operating nuclear reactors globally.
- Build and strengthen relationships with utility corporate engineering and supply chain teams to capture strategic growth opportunities.
- Partner with End User Sales teams to create a comprehensive aftermarket opportunity map for pumps, valves, seals, and actuators.
- Standardize best practices for operating-reactor aftermarket pursuits by producing repeatable playbooks, checklists, and templates to equip internal sales teams.
- Act as the primary interface and polished representative for Flowserve with nuclear operator organizations, including the Institute of Nuclear Power Operations (INPO), World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), and respective owners groups.
- Lead whitespace identification using installed base dashboards to pinpoint strategic approaches for outage and refuel cycles, addressing historical wins and emerging plant needs.
- Analyze the competitive landscape for flow-control products and translate market insights into actionable whitespace priorities and pursuit planning.
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, and procurement stakeholders to ensure proposal readiness and compliance with nuclear industry regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or an equivalent technical field.
- Demonstrated experience in process standardization, opportunity qualification, and proposal readiness within the nuclear power or highly regulated energy sector.
- Strong technical understanding of operating nuclear plant outage cycles, safety requirements, and quality assurance regulations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the proven ability to confidently represent the company in front of senior technical groups and corporate utility leadership.
- This position is restricted to United States persons because it requires access to U.S. export-controlled nuclear technology subject to 10 CFR Part 810.
Preferred Qualifications
- Extensive product knowledge encompassing industrial pumps, valves, seals, and actuators.
- Previous experience operating at a global or enterprise-wide level within a matrixed sales, product management, or commercial enablement function.
- Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software for maintaining pipeline visibility and sales-enablement documentation.
