LeapXpert: Innovating the Future of Business Communication

At LeapXpert, we’ve built the infrastructure that turns enterprise communication into intelligence enterprises can act on.

As the leader in Governed Communication Intelligence, our platform enables employees to connect with clients on the consumer messaging channels they actually use, governs and captures every conversation as enterprise data, and converts that data into deployable intelligence for teams, AI agents, and the business decisions that matter. Governance is the foundation. Intelligence is the value.

Our mission: enable enterprises to build a governed communication infrastructure that makes trust structural, intelligence compound, and every client relationship more productive.

We recently announced a $180M growth investment and are recognized as a Visionary in the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ for Digital Communications Governance and Archiving for the second consecutive year. Hundreds of the world’s most demanding enterprises trust LeapXpert to power their most important client conversations every day.

About the role

We are hiring a Senior Quality Engineer - someone who builds the tools the QA organization runs on, drives quality initiatives end to end, and tells us plainly where we should invest next.

LeapXpert builds governed, compliant messaging and intelligence platforms. Quality here means more than a working screen: a dropped message, a missed retention rule or an unarchived conversation is a regulatory problem for our customers.

You will build the tools every QA team relies on, including our in-house AI platform that generates, runs and repairs tests across web and mobile. This is a hands-on role: you will write production-grade code most weeks, and you will also set direction - which problems matter, what to build, what to stop doing, and how to measure that it worked.

- Title: Senior Quality Engineer, AI-Native Quality Platform

- Function: Quality Assurance

- Reporting: Director of Quality Assurance

- Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

How we think about quality

- We judge quality by the value it delivers: risk removed, customers protected and releases shipped with confidence. Test-case counts and coverage percentages are not the goal.

- Value, not volume: success is risk reduced, defects prevented and faster, safer releases - not the number of test cases written and run.

- Customer-critical coverage: effort goes to the journeys and compliance rules customers depend on, not to a coverage percentage.

- Quality built in: from acceptance criteria to production, rather than a phase at the end that signs off.

- Tools and AI for the toil: tools and AI take the repetitive work; people apply judgement.

- Outcome reporting: reports show escaped defects, lead time and release confidence, not hours, runs and pass rates.

- Risk-driven engineers: quality engineers find the biggest risk and decide what to do about it, rather than following a plan.

- Every piece of work names the outcome it changes and how we will know. That is how we will judge your impact too.

- Why this role

- Build the platform, then multiply the team: you build an AI-native platform that writes, runs and repairs tests, and then get every QA engineer using and improving it. You will co-own our three QA numbers - Coverage, Velocity and Experience - and be expected to contribute to raise all three.

- AI is how we already work: our tooling runs on models from Anthropic and OpenAI, picking one per task within a monthly spend cap, and our engineers build with AI coding agents every day. You will have room to try new models and techniques and prove which ones pay off.

- Efficiency you can measure: we judge AI by evidence, not demos. Calibration and replay harnesses check that the engine acts on the right element, and we know the cost of every AI call.

- Hard, high-stakes problems: testing compliant messaging for banks across WhatsApp, Signal, iMessage, SMS and Teams is much harder than testing a login page. Delivery, retention and audit trails have to be right every time.

- A seat at the table: you work directly with the Director of Quality Assurance and engineering leadership, and your recommendations set the QA roadmap.

What you’ll own

- Quality tooling and frameworks: design, build and maintain test tooling used by several QA teams, from frameworks and harnesses to CLIs, dashboards and internal services, and extend our in-house AI test platform (TypeScript, Node, Playwright, Appium, Postgres, Redis).

- Automation architecture: own the architecture of UI, API and mobile automation so suites stay fast, readable and trustworthy as the product grows, with measurement built in (calibration and replay harnesses, flakiness tracking).

- Testing across the stack: cover UI (web, admin consoles and native mobile on a device farm), API (contract, integration and negative testing), non-functional (performance, load, resilience, security basics) and data and compliance (archiving, retention, DLP, reconciliation).

- CI/CD and release quality: own how tests run in GitHub Actions and self-hosted runners, define quality gates that make Release Readiness a decision people trust, and work with DevOps on ephemeral environments and containerised test infrastructure (Docker, Azure).

- AI at the core of how we test: evolve our LLM pipelines (test generation from acceptance criteria, self-healing, AI-assisted element selection), build evaluation harnesses so every model change is measured for accuracy, stability and cost, and design how we test our own AI features such as the Intelligence suite and AgentLink.

- Advising and driving initiatives: audit where quality effort goes today, bring the Director of Quality Assurance clear proposals (problem, options, recommendation, cost, success measure), lead cross-team initiatives and coach engineers on the practices and tools you introduce.

What you bring

Must-have

- Experience: 7+ years in quality or software engineering including at least 3 years building test frameworks or tools that other engineers relied on.

- Strong coding skills: fluent in TypeScript/JavaScript (Python or Java is a plus); you write code that is reviewed, tested and maintained like product code.

- UI automation: deep Playwright experience (Selenium or Cypress also counts); you understand locator strategy, waits and isolation, and fix the cause of flaky tests rather than add retries.

- API testing: in-depth REST testing with tools such as Playwright request, RESTAssured, Postman/Newman or Pact, including contract testing, auth flows, schema validation and negative cases.

- Non-functional testing: performance and load testing with k6, Gatling, JMeter or Locust (throughput, percentiles, saturation), resilience testing, and application security testing basics.

- CI/CD: pipelines built and tuned in GitHub Actions or similar, using Docker, parallel runs and test reporting; comfortable with cloud infrastructure, ideally Azure/AWS.

- AI proficiency: hands-on experience applying LLMs to engineering work (test generation, triage, self-healing, code review); you know how to evaluate LLM output, control cost and design guardrails, and you use AI coding assistants daily and know where they fail.

- Data and SQL: comfortable with Postgres, seeding and isolating test data, and querying results to answer a question.

- Judgement and influence: you turn a messy situation into a clear recommendation with trade-offs, write well, disagree with evidence, and get teams to adopt a change without authority over them.

- Ownership: you finish things; a tool is not done until people use it and it is documented.

Nice to have

- Experience in regulated industries such as financial services and fintech, with compliance features like archiving, retention, eDiscovery or DLP

- Testing messaging or real-time systems: delivery guarantees, ordering, idempotency, WebSockets and queues

- Mobile automation with Appium or similar, and running a device farm

- Building agentic or RAG-based tools, and evaluation frameworks for non-deterministic output

- Experience with Jira and Zephyr Scale APIs, test management migrations, or quality dashboards used by leadership

- Observability for tests and services using OpenTelemetry, Grafana or Datadog

- Our Values

- Curiosity: We’re curious and future-focused.

- One Team: We’re one team, in many colors.

- Customer-Driven: We’re obsessed with the customer.

- Integrity: We don’t compromise on the integrity.

- Excellence: We exemplify excellence.
