What We’re Looking For
The right person doesn’t necessarily need previous fuel-dispatch experience. We’re looking for someone who can think, communicate, prioritize, and stay calm when things don’t go according to plan.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Good computer skills and the ability to learn new software
- The ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Attention to detail
- Dependability and a strong work ethic
- The ability to communicate professionally with drivers, customers, and coworkers
- Transportation, trucking, logistics, dispatch, or petroleum experience is a plus
What This Job Is Really Like
Fuel transportation doesn’t always follow the plan. Deliveries change, customers need product, drivers run into problems, equipment breaks down, and priorities can shift quickly.
A successful dispatcher needs to be able to look at the entire operation, determine what needs attention first, and make good decisions without losing track of everything else.
If you’re someone who enjoys solving problems, working with people, staying busy, and seeing the results of your work every day, we’d like to hear from you.
