Are you looking to launch a rewarding career in insurance sales with ample growth opportunities? Multiple Farmers Insurance agencies in the Lansing and East Lansing area are seeking motivated and coachable individuals to join their teams as Agents in Training.
About the Role:
As an Agent in Training, you will receive comprehensive, hands-on training and gain experience in all aspects of insurance sales and client service. You’ll have the support, mentorship, and resources you need to build a foundation for long-term career success, including potential advancement into agency leadership or ownership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect and qualify leads through outbound calls, referrals, community events, and inquiries
- Consult with clients to understand their insurance needs and recommend appropriate solutions
- Build and maintain lasting client relationships
- Use CRM tools for accurate record-keeping and follow-ups
- Work toward meeting personal and team sales goals
Prepare insurance quotes, explain coverage options, and assist clients with the application process
What We’re Looking For:
- Energetic, motivated, and coachable individuals who are eager to launch or advance their careers
- Strong communication skills and genuine enthusiasm for connecting with people
- Commitment to professional growth, including seeking insurance licensing (Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health); licensing support is available
- Prior sales or customer service experience is a plus but not required; comprehensive training provided
- Team players who thrive on supporting colleagues and contributing to shared agency success
- Self-starters who take initiative and are comfortable engaging with prospects both in person and by phone
