Finance Intern - Controlling

Purpose and main priorities of the role

At Fedrigoni, we are continuously looking for talented and analytical students and recent graduates to join our Controlling organization.
Our Controlling Intern opportunities may be available across different areas, including Commercial Controlling, Pricing and Industrial Controlling.
Depending on the specific assignment, you will support business and financial performance analysis, profitability monitoring, pricing and margin analysis, cost controlling and reporting activities, working closely with Finance professionals and cross-functional stakeholders from Commercial, Operations and other business functions.
This internship represents an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to a dynamic international environment and develop a solid understanding of how Controlling supports business decisions, operational performance and value creation.

Your Responsibilities May Include:

- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and planning activities;

- Contributing to business performance analysis and management reporting;

- Preparing reports, dashboards and presentations for internal stakeholders;

- Supporting sales, pricing, margin and profitability analysis, including analysis by customer, product or market;

- Supporting industrial cost and manufacturing performance analysis, including production costs and operational KPIs;

- Monitoring financial and operational KPIs, identifying trends and deviations versus budget, forecast or previous periods;

- Gathering, validating and analyzing financial and operational data to support decision-making;

- Performing variance and ad-hoc analyses to identify key business performance drivers;

- Collaborating with Finance, Commercial, Operations and other business functions on cross-functional projects;

- Contributing to process improvement, reporting automation and digitalization initiatives within the Controlling organization.

The attitude and skills we are looking for:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or currently enrolled) in Economics, Finance, Business Administration, Management Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields;

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;

- Interest in controlling, business performance, pricing, profitability and/or industrial processes;

- Good knowledge of Excel; familiarity with Power BI or similar data analysis and reporting tools is considered a plus;

- Ability to work with data and translate analysis into meaningful business insights;

- Strong communication and teamwork skills;

- Proactive attitude, curiosity and willingness to learn;

- Fluency in English.
