General Maintenance Worker
Well-Established Hospitality Property – Hermanus
Are you a hands-on, reliable problem-solver who takes pride in keeping things running smoothly? Our prestigious hospitality property in Hermanus is seeking a dedicated General Maintenance Worker to join our team and support day-to-day maintenance operations across the property.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, varied maintenance position in a beautiful hospitality setting. Key Responsibilities including:
- Perform daily maintenance across the property
- Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and operational procedures
- Respond promptly to maintenance call-outs to ensure guest comfort and safety
- Carry out general repairs including plumbing, welding, carpentry, painting, and basic building maintenance
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in general maintenance within a hotel, estate, or similar environment
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or standby when required
- Strong problem-solving skills with good attention to detail
- Valid driver’s licence (advantageous)
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Relevant qualification or trade experience will be advantageous

Requirements
- Proven track record in general maintenance (references essential)
- Relevant trade qualification or solid hands-on experience advantageous
- South African citizens only
- Must provide 2 letters of reference with contact numbers
- Immediate availability preferred
