In line with the UAE Government’s strategy in empowering and developing nationals, Emirates NBD is committed to welcoming the young generation into an innovative, modern and supportive work environment to contribute to the nation's success. We are looking to find the best UAEN talent to join our ENBD family.
As a Retail Banking Officer – Auto Loan at Emirates NBD, you will support growth in the bank’s auto loan business by acquiring suitable customers through approved channels and coordinating applications from initial enquiry to outcome. Based in the UAE and reporting to the Sales Manager, you will work as an individual contributor, understanding customer needs, explaining financing terms, collecting complete documentation and keeping customers informed. You will work toward assigned sales and conversion targets while maintaining customer suitability, application quality and compliance. No previous banking experience is required; product, system, sales and compliance training will be provided before you work independently.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of suitable auto loan prospects through approved dealerships, vehicle sales channels, referrals, campaigns and direct outreach.
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with auto dealers, and identify and propose new dealers for empanelment.
- Understand customers’ vehicle financing needs and clearly explain product features, eligibility, financing structure, down payment, pricing, fees and key obligations.
- Work toward assigned sales and conversion targets through consistent prospecting and follow-up, without compromising customer suitability, fair treatment or application quality.
- Collect and check customer, vehicle and dealership information and documents; submit complete applications; and coordinate with credit, operations, insurance and disbursement teams through to each case’s outcome.
- Keep customers informed of application progress and outstanding requirements, answer routine questions accurately, and promptly escalate complaints or issues.
- Identify suitable opportunities for other banking products and make referrals through approved channels.
- Follow all know-your-customer (KYC), anti-money laundering (AML), sanctions, fraud-prevention, data-privacy and customer-consent requirements.
- Maintain accurate lead, activity and application records, and complete mandatory training and certifications.
- Operate within role boundaries: do not make credit approval decisions or promise approval, pricing, limits, valuation results or completion dates. Product assignment may change after the required training and certification.
Qualifications
- High school diploma as a minimum, or a bachelor’s degree or equivalent recognized qualification.
- No previous banking experience is required. Customer service, sales, internships, projects or extracurricular experience can be helpful.
- Clear spoken and written communication, with the confidence to approach customers and explain information accurately.
- Comfort with basic calculations, digital forms, email and data entry.
- A responsible, organized and customer-focused approach, with attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Integrity, respect for confidentiality and confidence to raise concerns when something does not look right.
