Software Engineer- Agentic AI & Integrations

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Software Engineer – Agentic AI & Integrations based in India.

As a Software Engineer – Agentic AI & Integrations, you will play a key role in developing next-generation digital applications, intelligent automation solutions, and scalable technology platforms. You will design and build AI-powered applications that connect multiple systems, automate complex workflows, and transform business operations through advanced artificial intelligence. Working primarily with Python, APIs, large language models (LLMs), and agentic AI technologies, you will turn innovative concepts into reliable, production-ready solutions. You will collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams across India and the United States to deliver impactful technical capabilities. Your work will contribute to modernizing the customer experience and service delivery within the large and rapidly evolving U.S. home services industry. Accountabilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications, APIs, and software services supporting existing and emerging digital products.

- Build and enhance agentic AI solutions, including intelligent agents and automated workflows capable of interacting with systems, retrieving information, making decisions within defined parameters, and executing business processes.

- Develop and maintain robust integrations between internal applications, third-party platforms, AI services, and external tools using Python, REST APIs, webhooks, MCP, and related technologies.

- Integrate and orchestrate large language models (LLMs), AI agents, and external services to create efficient and intelligent automation workflows.

- Evaluate and optimize AI models and service providers to improve application accuracy, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

- Build, test, deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot software applications and system integrations to ensure scalability, security, and dependable production performance.

- Implement appropriate safeguards, error-handling mechanisms, and automated testing processes to maintain application quality and operational reliability.

- Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions by collaborating with product, engineering, and business stakeholders.

- Independently manage technical deliverables, from solution design and development through implementation and ongoing optimization.

- Contribute to technical architecture decisions and help identify opportunities to improve existing platforms, systems, and workflows.

- Research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies that support innovation and the development of new digital capabilities.

- Support the continuous evolution of the organization's technology ecosystem by developing scalable solutions aligned with long-term product and business objectives.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

- At least 4 years of hands-on software engineering experience, with strong proficiency in Python and a proven track record of developing backend applications, APIs, and system integrations.

- Demonstrated experience building and deploying AI- or LLM-powered applications, particularly agentic workflows, tool calling, and AI-driven automation interacting with external systems.

- Strong understanding of software architecture, REST APIs, webhooks, authentication mechanisms, and system integration principles.

- Practical experience working with LLM APIs, integrating AI models into software applications, and connecting AI capabilities with business systems.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), databases, SQL, version control, and modern software development and deployment practices.

- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining reliable production applications.

- Ability to take ownership of technical projects, work independently, and deliver solutions in a fast-paced and evolving technology environment.

- Adaptability and willingness to explore emerging AI technologies and continuously develop technical expertise.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI agent frameworks, or similar tool-integration architectures.

- Previous experience developing conversational AI, voice AI, or real-time automation solutions.

- Familiarity with FastAPI, asynchronous programming, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

- Experience with LLM orchestration, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI evaluation frameworks, and model performance optimization.

- Experience building customer-facing digital products or platforms that connect multiple services, users, and systems.

- Interest in applying emerging AI technologies to solve real-world operational and customer experience challenges.
