Head - Air Freight (North & East)

What You Can Expect :

Responsibilities

- Develop and execute the Air Freight business strategy in line with the company’s overall objectives.

- Drive revenue, volume, profitability, and market-share growth for the Air Freight business.

- Lead and manage the Air Freight team across relevant locations/functions.

- Develop strong relationships with key customers, airlines, overseas partners, and other stakeholders.

- Identify new business opportunities and drive customer acquisition and retention.

- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and industry developments.

- Ensure effective coordination between Sales, Operations, and other internal functions.

- Drive operational efficiency, service quality, and customer satisfaction.

- Manage business budgets, costs, and profitability.

- Develop and monitor KPIs for the Air Freight business and take corrective actions where required.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.

- Coach, mentor, and develop the team to build a strong and high-performing organization.

What You Bring:

Requirements

- 15+ years of relevant experience in managing Air Freight operations and teams.

- Strong expertise in both Air Export and Air Import.

- Proven track record of leading Air Freight business operations and teams at a senior management level.

- Strong commercial acumen with experience in business development and P&L management.

- Well-established network across customers, airlines, and key industry stakeholders.

- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

- Demonstrated experience in driving business growth and leading large, high-performing teams.
